LearnInBox refund and cancellation policy

Last updated: March 29, 2026

This Refund and Cancellation Policy governs all paid services on LearnInBox, including course enrolments, subscription plans, individual lesson bookings, digital product purchases, webinars, and workshops. By purchasing any paid service, you agree to this policy.

For support or refund requests, contact us at support@learninbox.com. For legal notices, contact legal@learninbox.com.

1. EU and UK statutory right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, you have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal from the day the contract is concluded for services and digital content (subject to legal exceptions).

  • To exercise this right, send a clear withdrawal request to legal@learninbox.com before the period expires.
  • If service delivery started at your express request during the withdrawal period, you may be charged proportionally for services already provided.
  • If you expressly requested immediate delivery of digital content and acknowledged loss of withdrawal rights at checkout, the withdrawal right may end once delivery begins.

2. Subscription disclosures and ROSCA compliance

For subscriptions and negative option features, LearnInBox provides clear and conspicuous disclosures before billing information is submitted and obtains separate affirmative consent before charging.

  • Material terms include trial duration (if any), recurring charge, billing frequency, first charge date, and cancellation method.
  • Cancellation is available through the same online path used for sign-up and is designed to be simple.
  • No cancellation penalties are charged.
  • Reminder notices are sent before free trial conversion to paid subscriptions and where required by applicable law for annual renewals.

3. General refund principles

  • Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method in the original transaction currency.
  • Typical processing timeline is 5 to 10 business days after approval (subject to bank and processor timelines).
  • Administrative and payment processor fees, where separately charged, are non-refundable unless required by law.
  • Where a pro-rata refund applies, it is calculated based on unused days remaining in the billing cycle.

Non-refundable items

  • Digital products already downloaded or accessed.
  • Services fully delivered or substantially performed.
  • Administrative or payment processing charges.
  • Subscription value already consumed at the time of cancellation, unless a specific exception applies.

4. Course fees

4.1 Self-paced courses

  • Refund requests must be submitted within 14 calendar days of enrolment.
  • You must not have accessed more than 25% of course content.
  • Access includes opening modules, streaming/downloading media, downloading materials, or submitting quizzes/assignments.
  • If conditions are not met, you may still request a course exchange or platform credit.

4.2 Live courses and webinars

  • Cancellation at least 48 hours before start: full refund or reschedule.
  • Cancellation within 48 hours: generally no refund; one-time reschedule may be offered at organizer discretion.
  • No-show without notice: fee is forfeited.
  • If LearnInBox cancels: full refund or reschedule at no additional cost.

5. Subscriptions

5.1 Free trials

If your plan includes a free trial, you will not be charged during the trial period. If not cancelled before trial end, the plan converts to a paid subscription at the disclosed rate.

5.2 Cancelling subscriptions

You may cancel any time in account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle, and access remains active until then.

5.3 Subscription refunds

Subscription charges are generally non-refundable after a billing cycle starts. Partial refunds or credit may be considered if:

  • A significant technical failure prevents access for more than 5 consecutive business days after report and unresolved remediation.
  • A request is submitted within 7 calendar days of billing due to genuine dissatisfaction with no substantial use during that period.

6. Individual lesson bookings

6.1 Cancellation by learner

  • At least 24 hours before start: full refund or credit.
  • Within 24 hours: may incur tutor-disclosed cancellation fee; refund at tutor discretion.
  • No-show: fee forfeited.

6.2 Tutor-initiated cancellation

  • Full refund or free reschedule option.
  • Tutors with repeated cancellations may be suspended or removed.

7. Digital products

Downloadables, pre-recorded content, e-books, and templates are non-refundable once accessed or downloaded. If content is defective or materially different from description, contact support within 7 days of purchase for review and remedy.

8. Gift cards and promotional codes

8.1 Gift cards

  • Non-refundable and non-redeemable for cash.
  • Redeemed value is applied as platform credit.
  • Minimum validity is 5 years from purchase, subject to local law.

8.2 Promotional codes

  • Non-transferable and non-redeemable for cash.
  • Subject to issuance terms (expiry, limits, conditions).
  • Refunds cover only amount actually paid after discount; discount value is not refunded.

9. Course exchanges and platform credits

  • Where cash refund is unavailable, exchanges may be requested within 14 days where less than 25% of content is accessed.
  • Approved exchanges are typically issued as platform credits equal to the original purchase price.
  • Credits are valid for 12 months, non-transferable, and not redeemable for cash.

10. Payment disputes and chargebacks

  • Contact support before filing a bank/card dispute and include account email, date, amount, order reference, and issue description.
  • Typical response time is 5 to 7 business days.
  • Your legal chargeback rights remain unchanged under card network rules and applicable law.
  • During dispute review, account/service access may be temporarily restricted.

11. Exceptions and special circumstances

LearnInBox may approve out-of-policy refunds or credits in documented cases such as medical emergency, duplicate billing, unresolved platform failure, service misrepresentation, or service discontinuation.

12. International consumer rights

Mandatory local consumer protection laws apply where they provide stronger rights than this policy. This includes statutory rights in the EU/EEA, UK, India, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Brazil, Singapore, South Africa, UAE, Saudi Arabia, and other supported jurisdictions.

  • Brazil: 7-day withdrawal right for qualifying distance purchases.
  • South Africa: 5-business-day cooling-off rights for qualifying electronic transactions.
  • Canada: province-specific cooling-off and distance contract protections may apply.
  • India: refund grievance acknowledgement within 48 hours and resolution within 30 days as required by applicable rules.

13. How to request a refund

  2. Include your full name, registered email, order/transaction reference, service, and reason.
  3. Requests are acknowledged within 48 hours.
  4. Review is generally completed in 5 to 7 business days, with written outcome.
  5. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 5 to 10 business days of approval.
